1/19/2010 - The Gorillas have a stronger squad this year and hope to contend for a playoff spot. We are looking to upgrade the following positions (while still remaing a fairly young team):

SS Erick Aybar - .312/.252/.423 with EX bunting, EX running and AV defense
LF/RF Josh Willingham - .863 OPS with 24 HR, EX/VG power

CF Torii Hunter - .873 OPS with 22 HR, EX/VG power, EX running, VG stealing and VG defense
RF JD Drew - .914 OPS with 24 HR, VG/EX power, VG running and VG defense
RHP Rick Porcello - 3.96 ERA in 31 GS, pitched very well in AUG and SEP, and only 21 years old
LHP Barry Zito - 4.03 ERA in 33 GS, best year in San Francisco

Along with the preceeding players/pitchers, the following may be added to make a deal:

LHP Madison Bumgarner - One of the minors top pitching prospects and San Francisco top prospects
GAS 2011 Draft Picks

I'm looking to move some pieces for a few incremental improvements. First up is the bullpen. Looking to deal for an elite level closer or at least one that had a career year.

ATX offers up Francisco Cordero to begin the conversation.

- 2.16 ERA, 1.32 whip
- 228avg, 333obp, 264slg (596ops) vs. L
- 256avg, 304obp, 344slg (648ops) vs. R
- 39 saves

Can add in remaining 2010 and 2011 picks or another relieve like Tyler Walker: 32 appearances, 3.06era, 1.13whip, 596vL, 680vR.
